Richard Denman

I am sad to announce that our dear friend Richard Denman was involved in a fatal motorcycle accident on 12-26-05.

I first met Richard during the 2005 junk yard wars where Richard's Delta wing design brought our team victory. See pictures here. We will miss you Richard.

The Fly-in event scheduled for Saturday, 1-14-06 will now be in the honor of both Dick Schiveley and Richard Denman.

Got a glow stick, flash light, and some inventive ideas to make a R/C aircraft light up at night?

Apparently a bunch of folks did which made the 2nd Annual Night fly-in event a great sucess.

Thanks to John Forestieri and Jetero for hosting such a great event.

Founders Appreciation Day FunFly! (Saturday March 12th)

In honor of one of our favorite members and club founders, Mr. Dick Schiller, we had a "Founder Appreciation Day" FunFly Event.  Presdient, Kevin Morris made a motion that March 12th will be "Founders Day".

After we finished the meeting business, we all dug into the cake. Yummy cake and everyone had blue lips. he he

Then John Forestieri explained some of the fun fly events. The first event was limbo. I think Munk Hunt won this event but who was keeping score with all the fun we were having. We was going for a second round of limbo until someone, we shall not mention any names (John Forestieri) hit and broke the limbo poll. Before the limbo poll was broken, earlier that day, Mark Conroy did a Heli-Limbo demostration. WATCH IT NOW

During the limbo event Sean had a little trouble with his retractable landing gear on his U-Can-Do?????

After Limbo, we started the next event of a timed landing and quickly we all was distracted by the smell of Shannon's Bar-B-Que and the rumbling of our tummys.

After lunch, the almighty winds had pick up and limited the amount of air traffic. The event was a great success and we accoumplished the overall goal of having fun.

Take a look at the amount of people that came out to honor Mr. Dick Schiller, Crash some planes, and eat Shannon's Bar-B-Que.
